Pushing the Limits Series by Katie McGarry

Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry

Pushing the LImits # 1

Let me start off by saying that this is one of my new favorites!  I loved every detail in the book.  It is YA at its finest.  If you liked Beautiful Disaster, Easy, and Callum and Harper you will love this!

Katie McGarry knocked it out of the park with Pushing the Limits.  This gut-wrenching emotional roller coaster will leave you with incredible highs and devastating lows.  The characters develop beautifully as they overcome life changing obstacles. Katie captures every detail of these heroic teens during their struggles of their "new normal".   Buckle up and get ready for a heartfelt ride with this one.

Overview

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

Dare You To
Pushing the Limits #2
 by Katie McGarry

I received an advanced readers copy of this book and can not say enough good this about Dare You To. It was an emotional experience and it opened my eyes to how some teens raise their parents today. I was fortunate enough not to have experienced things that take place in this novel, but it breaks my heart that these things take place. This book it set to hit shelves May 28, 2013

Amazing! Katie McGarry has done it again with the second installment of Pushing the Limits. Jump in, hold on tight, and get ready for the emotional roller coaster with Dare You To. This gut-wrenching story is a beauty that you will never forget. McGarry has a way to bring the heartfelt, raw emotion to life in her tragic protagonist. The way the story flows is genius. This is truly Young Adult in its finest.

Beth is a misunderstood teen, which always puts her drunken mother first. After a run in with the police and an arrest record she is shipped away to live with her famous baseball star uncle. Enter Ryan, all American jock who can never turn down a dare and hates to loose. When Ryan’s friends dare him to get Beth’s number and she turns him down he is devastated. Neither realizes they are more alike than they are different and every family has their own secretes.

*SPOILER ALERT*

Yes ladies and gentlemen, there will be a third installment to this series that I, personally, can not wait for! This will be Isaiah’s story and who doesn’t love a bad boy with tattoos…

Crash Into You by Katie McGarry

Pushing the Limits # 3

Crash Into You is the third installment in Kaite McGarry’s Pushing the Limits series.  This series is one of my favorite up and coming series and I am sure to be a fan of Ms. McGarry’s books in the future.

Isaiah has always been one of my favorites in this series.  My heart broke for him when Beth walked away and I have been rooting for him to find his place since then.  The chip on his shoulder in the beginning of this book makes him hotter than hot.  Needless to say his story was heartbreakingly beautiful.

The characters overcome so many obstacles throughout this book.  I love a good redemption story and Isaiah’s did not disappoint.

This series is easily on my top twenty must read list.  I can’t wait to see whose story is next and where Ms. McGarry will take this series.

Synopsis:

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.
